The Madison Service Center was established in 2006 as an extension of the company's Milwaukee office to better serve our customers and business partners in Madison, Dane County and surrounding communities. With more than 50 University of Wisconsin-Madison alumni on staff throughout Mortenson, Madison is a place the company and our team members are committed to.
Markets served include higher education, biotech and life sciences, corporate/commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and municipal projects.

Mortenson has been an industry leader in integrating Building Information Modeling technology into our everyday processes. This technology has allowed our customers and projects to realize cost and time savings, which results in a higher quality end product.
Mortenson’s focus on customer relationships is the basis for which we have grown our business in Madison. This approach has provided Mortenson the benefit of having 80% of our work with long-term customers. Mark Sherry
Vice President
Mark joined Mortenson in 1987, and serves as vice president of the Wisconsin operations and general manager of our Milwaukee office. His responsibilities include overall management of our Wisconsin operations and personnel, development of new customer relationships, delivery of all construction services, and direct involvement with all of our major customers.
Mark brings extensive experience in the preconstruction and construction phases of a project and often works with customers in helping to establish the feasibility of a project based on accurate cost estimates.
Jeff Madden
General Manager
Jeff joined Mortenson in 1996 and moved from Denver to Madison in 2007 to oversee the $155 million Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery (WID) project. Jeff expertly led the WID project team, which was one of Madison’s most visible projects due to its location, unique combination of public and private research components, and Integrated Project Delivery contract.
Jeff’s strategic focus, proven relationship-building and business development skills, along with his collaborative leadership style have helped successfully elevate Mortenson’s profile in the Madison community. As general manager of the Madison office, he oversees Mortenson’s Madison projects as well as help secure new work within the Madison community. Jeff was recognized as one of Madison’s “40 Under 40” by InBusiness magazine.
Alicia Dupies
Director of Project Development
Alicia joined Mortenson in 2004 and has helped Mortenson grow to one of the largest contractors in Wisconsin. As director of project development, Alicia’s responsibilities include positioning and relationship management, marketing and public relations, and oversight of proposal development.
Alicia is a Madison native and a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate. She is an active member of SMPS, TEMPO, and the Boys & Girls Club, and a board member of the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum and Wisconsin Business Council. Alicia has also been recognized as a “Women of Influence” and “40 under 40” by the Milwaukee Business Journal.
