Renewable Energy Groups
One of Mortenson’s greatest strengths as a renewable energy contractor is the remarkable safety, quality and efficiency with which every project is managed. Developed to achieve excellence in all aspects of our business, the Mortenson Production System will support your company’s strategic objectives and ensure your project will be completed safely, on time and on budget.
A cornerstone of this system is the use of lean processes such as Kaizen, which is defined as "a state of continuous improvement." This management philosophy focuses on increasing efficiency and productivity, allowing us to smartly manage down costs versus cost cutting. Because of the diversity and scope of our experience, we are able to provide project cost certainty, which means no hidden costs and no surprises. This level of certainty, along with our sophisticated project management systems, results in a better long-term investment and greater peace of mind throughout every phase of the project.
To ensure that all of your renewable energy needs are met from start to finish, we offer an integrated, full-service approach that includes all aspects of the construction process, including design, engineering (through properly-licensed consultants), preconstruction, project estimating, procurement logistics, operations, and commissioning. As the 10th largest power contractor in the United States according to Engineering News-Record’s 2010 Top 400 Contractors list, Mortenson is the only contractor in the top 20 ranking whose focus is on building 100% renewable power generating facilities.
Mortenson’s Renewable Energy Groups has the resources, experience and proven track record to deliver on our word, and to ensure your project is effectively and efficiently managed from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting.
At Mortenson, we want to be more than your renewable energy contractor; we want to be your trusted business partner. To this end, we are fully dedicated to providing efficient, quality solutions that exceed the needs of every customer. Our team members truly believe in serving the customer’s interests and building strong, enduring partnerships with each project’s owner, land owners, designers, engineers, subcontractors and the community.
Our experience in renewable energy has made us aware of the impact a project can have on the local community, as well as the impact the local community can have on the project. Because of the relationship between project success and community connectivity, we have developed a comprehensive Community Relations Plan. This plan is designed to support the local economy by utilizing the local labor force, maintain community connectivity by establishing open communications with civic leaders, the police and fire departments, and support our various community outreach objectives through charity work, food drives and school presentations of our children’s book, Catch the Wind.
Our unyielding dedication to our customers and to their communities explains why nearly 80 percent of our work comes from repeat customers. It is this high level of commitment that distinguishes Mortenson within the industry and allows us to deliver a building experience that is superior to any other.
