Mark Donahue
Vice President and General Manager

Canadian renewables
Solar and emerging renewables

Mark is the vice president and general manager of all Canadian renewable energy business and the emerging renewable energy markets which includes the solar and next generation biofuels markets. He is responsible for overall strategy development and direction of all facets of the group, including relationship management, preconstruction, construction and business development activities, as well as P&L responsibilities. Mark is a member of the Canadian Wind Association and the Solar Energy Industries  Association. He chose Mortenson because, "Mortenson has given me every opportunity to work in industries that I have a passion for and in markets that are leading edge, such as microelectronics and renewable energy."

Representative project experience includes: Prince I & II, Sault Ste. Paul Kitching
LEED AP, Director of Operations

As Director of Operations for Mortenson's Canadian business, Paul provides operational oversight to all Canadian projects, and works closely with Mortenson's Renewable Energy Group leadership team in all aspects of operations, career development, BIM/VDC, scheduling and quality. A citizen of Canada, Paul joined the group from our Phoenix office, where he made valuable contributions to operational improvements, particularly in the areas of project management systems, self-performed work management, training, safety and quality.

Paul joined Mortenson in 2000, and has managed several large projects, primarily in the healthcare and sports markets, including Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Northern Arizona University's Health & Learning Center, the University of Minnesota Medical Center, the University of Minnesota - TCF Bank Stadium, and the University of Iowa - Kinnick Stadium renovations.

Brent Bergland
Construction Executive

Leveraging a decade of wind power experience, Brent leads Mortenson’s business development efforts in Canada. As construction executive, he also directs the administration and coordination of all engineering and construction phases of the projects for which he is responsible.  Brent provides oversight of the upfront planning, project scheduling, cost control, safety, contract administration, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.

Brent leads Mortenson’s efforts in Canada through hands-on leadership and by building strong, strategic industry partnerships. Brent also serves on CanWEA's board of directors.

Michael Jeans
Business Development Manager

Michael joined Mortenson Canada as business development manager specializing in renewable energy. Mike has extensive experience in the power / energy sector with utilities, owners / developers, consultants, engineers and contractors / suppliers, covering a wide range of projects including thermal, nuclear and renewable power generation in Canada.

Throughout his career he has assumed increasing responsibilities covering various aspects of project development, implementation and operation, and was recently a senior manager with an independent power company.
