January 30, 2006

Seattle, WA - Bellevue Community College (BCC) and the Washington State Department of General Administration have selected Mortenson to build BCC's future Science and Technology Building. The $24 million, 69,500-square-foot facility will provide the college with dedicated, specialized science classrooms and laboratories for life sciences and chemistry, several general purpose classrooms, small group study/break out spaces, and office and support spaces for their science programs. Miller-Hull is the architect.

Mortenson's Seattle office has won every GC/CM Community College project the State of Washington has ever contracted.  This will be Mortenson’s second GC/CM project on the BCC campus.

Preconstruction will begin March 2006, with construction scheduled to begin July 2007 and complete June 2009.
