Mortenson Awarded New Trinity Regional Medical Center Expansion

Minneapolis, MN - Mortenson's Minneapolis office is pleased to announce their selection for the Trinity Regional Medical Center's Ambulatory  /Inpatient Care Expansion. The 75,000 SF expansion and renovation project is located in Fort Dodge, Iowa - continuing Mortenson's successful presence in the Iowa market. The $20 million project will break ground in Spring 2007 and is scheduled for completion in Summer 2008.

The proposed project includes demolition of an existing six level bed wing with the development of 75,000 SF of new construction and renovation space, occurring primarily on the lower three floors. The proposed ground floor will include general environmental services storage, physician office space, an auditorium and mechanical space. A new main entry will have a drop off canopy, a new lobby, an expanded cafeteria, a gift shop, the admission office, a conference center and an Ambulatory Care Center including with an ambulatory surgery unit make up the first floor. A new, all private, 30-bed InpatientMedical / Surgical Unit plus connectivity to two existing units comprise the second floor.

The project will continue Mortenson's work with the Owner's Representative, Rodney Casey from Hammes Company, and includes a new partnership with Woodruff Construction of Fort Dodge, IA.
