Mortenson's Phoenix Office Secures Additional Work at Sky Harbor International Airport

Phoenix, AZ - Mortenson's Phoenix office was officially awarded the City of Phoenix Terminal 3 Electrical Upgrades project at Sky Harbor International Airport. This marks another City of Phoenix project for 2007 and additional work with the aviation department.
The scope of the Terminal 3 Upgrades will include the following:
- Constructing a new APS Equipment Room and possible relocation of all equipment
- Possible demolition of existing Main Electrical Room
- Coordinating new equipment installations for the new APS Equipment Room
- Constructing new Main Electrical Room, including installation of new equipment such as transformers, generators, service entrance sections, switchgear, distribution panels, sub-panels, and circuits
- Coordination of airport users and Aviation Department coordination meetings
- Investigation of construction phasing options to minimize impacts to terminal operations
The $10 million project is estimated to begin in October with a 12 month construction schedule. The engineer for the project is OWP/P Engineering.
