Mortenson's Chicago Office Awarded Silver Cross Replacement Hospital

Chicago, IL - Mortenson's Chicago office is extremely pleased to announce our selection to provide preconstruction and construction services on the $260 million Silver Cross Replacement Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois. The replacement hospital will be located at the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and the soon-to-be-opened I-355 extension, three short miles from its current campus.
The replacement hospital ensures that Silver Cross can continue its mission of providing quality healthcare for the growing community over the next century. The improved facility will enhance quality, safety and service within an environment designed for future technology. New programs, including an enhanced partnership with Children’s Memorial Hospital, will bring new services to patients and improve the health of the community.
Securing this important new project meets several of the goals outlined within our business plan; being selected to work with a new healthcare customer; securing a healthcare project with a value over $50 million in the local Chicago land area; and working with a new architectural partner, RTKL.
Construction will begin in the summer of 2008.
