Mortenson Selected for Mixed-Use Project in Seattle

Seattle, WA - KG Investment Management has selected Mortenson's Seattle Office as its partner for the construction of a $60 million Ballard Blocks II project in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, which is largely a Scandinavian community.
The project features 270,000 SF of leasable, mixed-use space over two-levels of underground structured parking. It includes approximately 200,000 SF of Class A office space in a two building complex, plus an additional 70,000 SF of first floor retail. It will be designed and built to LEED® Silver sustainability standards.
The project architect is Clark Design Group and KG's financial partner is Principal Global Investors. This is Mortenson's first local project for all three primary members of the delivery team. Site demolition is scheduled to start early this summer, with construction to begin in the fall.
