Mortenson Awarded Third Project with Wisconsin DOT
June 1, 2009
Milwaukee, WI - Mortenson's Milwaukee office has been selected to provide construction project controls services for the $1.9B I-94 North-South corridor. After 40 years, one of the state's most frequently used freeways is in critical need of rebuilding. The 35-mile project runs from the Illinois state line to the Mitchell Interchange, and includes the Airport Spur to General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee. Construction begins in 2009 and will continue through 2016.
Recognizing the value that Mortenson brought to the recently-completed Marquette Interchange, and currently the Zoo Interchange projects, WisDOT ranked Mortenson first among all shortlisted firms. Similar to our roles on the Marquette Interchange and Zoo Interchange, we will perform comprehensive project controls services. This win builds on the success of Mortenson's previous and current work with WisDOT.
