Mortenson Development Awarded Work at Fort Lewis

Fort Lewis, WA - Mortenson Development is pleased to announce that they were recently awarded a retainer agreement with The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) to develop a 500,000 square-foot lifestyle center at Fort Lewis, Washington.

AAFES is a joint military command that provides merchandise and services to active duty, guard, and reserve members, military retirees, and their families.  The lifestyle center will feature a shopping center that combines retail, restaurant and entertainment venues in an open-air, pedestrian-friendly environment. 

Mortenson’s develop/design-build team was selected based on the Development Group’s collaborative project management approach, the Federal Contracting Group’s 25-year-long relationship with Fort Lewis and experience working with government related entities, and our Seattle office's 26-year history and relationships in the Pacific Northwest.
