Cedar Creek Wind Farm Named Best Project by DBIA
March 11, 2009
Minneapolis, MN - The Renewable Energy Groups are proud to announce that Pattern Energy/BP Wind Energy’s Cedar Creek Wind Farm project has been named Best Project-Energy by the Design Build Institute of America Upper Midwest Region.
The DBIA selects projects that demonstrate advanced and innovative application of total integrated project delivery and finding unique solutions for project challenges. These are projects that frequently break new ground in their approach and accomplishments.
At 300.5 megawatts, Cedar Creek was the largest single installation of wind turbines in the United States at the time it was constructed. The wind farm area extends across 120-square miles of arid agricultural/ranch land in Grover, Colorado, but its actual footprint is less than 2 percent. Through its many challenges, Cedar Creek completed on time and on budget.
