Mortenson Selected as GC/CM Contractor for Lynnwood Rec Center

Lynnwood, WA - Mortenson's Seattle office has been selected by the City of Lynnwood as the general contractor/construction manager for the $17 million Lynnwood Recreation Center Renovation and Expansion project. 

Construction is started in early February and will complete in April 2011. A ground breaking ceremony for the project was held on December 9, 2009.
 
The project features a new leisure pool, a new partially retractable pool roof, an additional 16,000 square feet of building, new family lockers rooms, expanded cardio/weight room, new group exercise room, new mechanical and electrical systems, and new interiors throughout the building. The building is designed to meet LEED® Silver requirements. The architect on the project is NAC Architecture, with offices in Spokane and Seattle. The project manager/owner’s representative is Seattle-based Landon Construction Group.
