Mortenson’s Exceptional People Appointed to Various Boards

Milwaukee, WI - With a passion for sharing their skills and knowledge, multiple Wisconsin leadership team members have recently accepted executive board positions with various business and community organizations.

Mark Sherry, vice president and general manager, was appointed to the Public Policy Forum’s Board of Trustees. The Public Policy Forum is an independent, non-partisan research organization with a mission to seek, discover, and disclose true and accurate information to enhance the effectiveness of government and public policy in southeastern Wisconsin. In his new role, Mark joins an impressive group of local executives from reputable firms spanning multiple industry sectors. Alicia Dupies, director of project development, was appointed to the Wisconsin Business Council’s Board of Directors. The Wisconsin Business Council was formed in June 2009 to provide a forum for state business leaders to come together in the search for solutions to improve the business climate while protecting and promoting the state’s unique quality of life. Members of the Wisconsin Business Council recognize that better jobs and a stronger economy are critical to Wisconsin’s quality of life. The Board of Directors is comprised of senior-level leaders from companies including American Transmission Co., Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, AT&T Wisconsin, Commerce State Bank, Dean Health System, Johnson Timber Corp., Midwest Natural Gas, MillerCoors, Orion Energy Systems, and Park Bank. Andy Wiegman, construction executive, was recently appointed to the Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges (WFIC) CR-21 College Readiness Program Executive Committee. WFIC was established in 1954 to provide financial support to Wisconsin’s independent colleges. WFIC partners with each of Wisconsin’s 20 independent colleges, Wisconsin companies, nonprofits, youth serving organizations, and school partners. WFIC’s College Readiness 21 (CR21) program helps prepare needy students for entry into college. On the CR21 Executive Committee, Andy will oversee the effectiveness and long-term solutions that allows students to access countless educational, professional, and personal opportunities. Andy Ostrand, senior project manager, was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the TYME OUT Youth Center in the village of Stone Bank, Wisconsin. TYME OUT is a youth retreat center that offers overnight camps, retreats, leadership programs, and education for groups of children and teenagers. The youth ministry is dedicated to the faith formation and character development of youth, empowering them to reach the fullness of their potential as individuals.
