Mortenson Awarded Goshen North Wind Project

Idaho Falls, ID — Mortenson has been selected by BP Wind Energy and Ridgeline Energy, LLC to build our first wind farm in the state of Idaho. The 124.5-megawatt Goshen North project is our 93rd wind construction project and our sixth project with BP Wind Energy. Construction is now underway.

Mortenson’s scope includes the erection of 83 General Electric xle 1.5-megawatt wind turbines. This 124.5-megawatt project also includes the installation of 28 miles of access roads, 37 miles of underground collection, seven miles of 161kV transmission line, a project substation, interconnect substation, and an operations and maintenance facility. REG leadership joined BP Wind Energy and Ridgeline Energy, along with local and state officials at the Goshen North Wind Project blade signing ceremony on June 2 in Idaho Falls.
