Mortenson to Remodel Student Resource Center at College of DuPage

Chicago, IL — Mortenson was recently awarded a contract from the College of DuPage Board of Trustees for the exterior remodel of the College’s Student Resource Center (SRC). Mortenson’s Chicago office also is under contract to perform interior renovation work in the SRC, a renovation of the Berg Instructional Center, and a new Student Services Center.

As one of the prominent buildings on campus, the College wants to update the appearance of the SRC to align with the overall campus modernization. Mortenson is in the preconstruction stage of the $4.5 million project, working with the architect, Wight & Company. Preliminary designs feature a sleek glass exterior punctuated with bright yellow bands and include the College’s name and logo.

College of DuPage is the third largest single-campus community college in the nation, and the second largest institution of higher education in the state. The fully accredited institution supports more than 30,000 students each semester and offers over 90 certificate programs, 59 occupational degrees and 45 transfer pre-baccalaureate programs.
