Mortenson Announces First Project at the University of Arizona

Phoenix, AZ — Mortenson is pleased to announce its selection for the new Arizona Stadium - North End-Zone Expansion project in Tucson, Arizona.  

Mortenson was awarded the project over local joint venture teams with long standing ties to the Tucson community and the University of Arizona. Mortenson won the work based upon recommendations of Mortenson customers, a solid proposal, and a best-in-class construction team. Mortenson received a unanimous recommendation from the University’s selection committee.

While the complete scope of the project is still being defined, the project will consist of upgrades to the existing stadium and the addition of a new northern endzone seating bowl which will include 70,000 square-feet of space to house the University’s Athletic Department. The project will be completed prior to Fall 2012.
