The City of Sioux Falls Selects Mortenson for $99 Million Events Center

Souix Falls, SD — The City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has selected Mortenson Construction to provide preconstruction and construction services for the city’s new Events Center.

The Events Center will be a 12,000 seat, multi-purpose indoor arena with the ability to host many different events including concerts, basketball, arena football, hockey and other ice events, concerts, wrestling, circuses and other family shows, rodeos, trade shows, and motor cross. The project seeks to reflect the strength and pride of the Sioux Falls community while creating a venue that will support the rapidly expanding population of the region.

The project team includes the design partnership of Sink Combs Dethlefs as the design architect and Sioux Falls based Koch Hazard Architects.
