Minneapolis, MN—Mark Donahue, a vice president/general manager for Mortenson Construction’s Renewable Energy Groups, has been selected as one of Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" award recipients.

Now in its 17th year, the award recognizes 40 of the region’s top business and civic leaders under the age of forty. Selected candidates must have consistently demonstrated professional achievement and dedication to community service.

“Mark is an exceptional leader and mentor within our company and in the larger community,” said Tom Wacker, senior vice president of Mortenson’s Renewable Energy Groups “We’re delighted that Mark’s significant contributions have been recognized in this way.”

Mark joined Mortenson Construction in 1995 after graduating from Purdue University with a B.S. in Construction Engineering and Management. Since his first job as an estimator, Mark has been consistently promoted within Mortenson. His past roles include field engineer, project engineer, project manager, senior project manager, construction executive, and director of operations.

In 2010 Donahue was promoted to his current role as a vice president/general manager where he leads all Canadian wind efforts and non-wind renewables in the U.S. and Canada.
