Mortenson Zero Injury Policy

Our Culture of Safety

Our outstanding safety record did not happen by chance; it is a derivation of our hard work and commitment to employees. Our Zero Injury policy, which is reinforced daily throughout the organization states that “All employees are obligated to conduct their work in a safe manner, to stop work immediately to correct any unsafe condition that is encountered, and to take corrective action so that work may proceed in a safe manner."

The purpose of the policy is to establish programs and procedures that will eliminate accidents and injuries on our projects and in our office, and a project-specific safety plan is developed and implemented for every new job we begin. The goal of the program is to achieve safety excellence.

Protecting our workers, our customers, partners, and the general public is of utmost importance to Mortenson. When we say Zero Injuries, we mean it!

Customer Testimonials

Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center
" ...they [Mortenson] are top-notch builders, incorporating quality, speed and safety into their projects. Outside of projects I witnessed in Hong Kong, I have never seen structural steel erected as quickly as it was here in Tacoma. However, quality and safety is never compromised by Mortenson. Their commitment to a safe worksite is very clear and they simply do not compromise on the safety of anyone working on the project site."
