FRC Support Building - The project scope included both vertical construction and waterfront pier extension work. The vertical construction portion is a Fast Response Cutter (FRC) support building providing maintenance and administrative areas for the crews assigned to the maintenance of the Coast Guard’s new FRC vessels. The building houses a large high-bay maintenance area, parts and tool storage, warehouse space, administrative offices, personnel locker rooms, lunchroom, laundry, and mechanical/electrical support areas. The structure of the FRC Support Building consists of a one-story structural steel-frame building built on a concrete foundation, supported by timber piles and enclosed by metal panel walls on a CMU exterior wainscot and a standing seam metal roofing system. The new FRC support building is USGBC LEED certified.

Pier 4 Extension - The Pier 4 extension occurred in four phases. Phase 1 involved the demolition of a major portion of the existing Pier 4 and dredging the area for a new pier extension. Phase 2 included the installation of guide piles and the relocation of an existing floating dock, as well as additional dredging. Phase 3 involved upgrades to the remaining porting of the existing Pier 4. Phase 4 included the construction of the new Pier 4 extension and installation of related utilities.
