Mortenson has been providing real estate development services to our customers since 1975. Our services include project feasibility analysis, site selection and acquisition, planning, financing, ownership and implementation. We have built our development expertise through an active involvement in a broad range of real estate endeavors involving major mixed-use retail projects, administrative and technical facilities, telecommunication and manufacturing facilities, educational campuses, corporate headquarters, medical office buildings, hotels and traditional multi-tenant office buildings.
Vice President and General Manager
Bob provides overall direction and management of all facets of Mortenson Development, Inc.'s commercial real estate business including strategy, financing, partner, development, acquisitions and marketing. He has a depth of market knowledge and industry expertise, including entitlements, leasing and financing, and works seamlessly with Mortenson Construction to provide services related to design, construction and building turnover.
Previously, Bob was co-owner of his own development company in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. He is a member of NAIOP and has served on numerous boards and organizations. Bob is currently a trustee and vice chairman on the Crown College Board and serves on the Aquajets Swim Team Board.
Vice President and General Manager, Hospitality
Tom focuses his efforts on the hospitality market, working with all of the major hotel brands. He has built the Mortenson reputation as a proven expert in the financing and turnkey delivery of large, complex public and private hotel projects. Tom also works on the financing and structuring of many of Mortenson's new hospitality development projects, based on his proven track record of assembling complex debt and equity structures that position development projects to succeed.
He is a member of NAIOP, the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, and is involved with the CornerHouse child abuse evaluation and training center, United Way and the Breath of Life Gala.
Senior Development Manager
Nate is responsible for multiple facets of Mortenson's real estate development operation including feasibility analysis, site selection and acquisition, entitlements, financing, project management and sourcing new development opportunities. With more than ten years of industry experience, Nate specializes in the development of hotels and other hospitality industry projects.
He is involved in ULI, NAIOP, the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Nate also serves as an Adjunct Professor for several real estate courses at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dan is responsible for development management of active projects in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, as well as sourcing new development opportunities in Mortenson's various markets, including medical office, corporate office, multi-family and mission critical asset classes.
Dan is a member of NAIOP and the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.
As a Development Manager based in Denver, Ben focuses on the identification of new development opportunities within the Denver markets. He is also responsible for market analysis, account identification, site recommendations,financial feasibility analysis and project management.
He is involved with ULI, NAIOP and the DDP.
