Expertise
At Mortenson, we have learned it’s not enough to be experts in our own industry. We need to understand our customers' industry, too. Learning as much as we can about their business and goals helps us tailor our construction expertise to meet the unique needs of each project.
"Entering the Brave New World: An Introduction to Contracting for BIM"
Dwight Larson, vice president, senior counsel, and Kate Golden, associate counsel, of Mortenson Construction have recently published an article entitled "Entering the Brave New World: An Introduction to Contracting for BIM." The article exlores key legal and contract inssues associated with the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), and how project contracts can enhance, rather than impede, the value to be gained from the use of BIM in the design and construction of buildings and structures.
The article was originally published in the William Mitchell Law Review, Volume 24. However, the published version includes edits that the authors were not given the opportunity to review and of which the authors do not approve. The article is therefore published here, in its entirety.
