The new multi-purpose arena is part of a public–private partnership between Bucks ownership and local and state government, and will be the cornerstone of a new sports and entertainment district built on 30 acres of mostly-vacant land in downtown Milwaukee.
The new arena will be built north of the Bucks’ current home, the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Construction began in June 2016 and will be completed in time for the start of the 2018-19 NBA season.
