The 150-megawatt Camp Grove Wind Farm is spread across 14,000 acres of cropland. The site straddles the Marshall-Stark County line and partially encircles this small community north of Peoria, Illinois. With 40 wind turbines in Stark County and 60 turbines in Marshall County, Camp Grove has the capacity to provide clean energy to approximately 30,000 households annually.

Mortenson’s scope of work included engineering and construction of 26 miles of access roads, 100 turbine foundations, 100 GE 1.5-megawatt wind turbines on 80-meter towers, 57 miles of underground electrical collection system, nine miles of overhead electrical transmission line, a 138kV substation and interconnection switchyard and an operations and maintenance building.
