Longroad Energy selected Mortenson to construct the El Campo Wind Project located in Truscott, Texas. Mortenson had recently completed Longroad’s 243 MW Rio Bravo Wind project in New Falcon, Texas. With the completion of El Campo, Mortenson has installed nearly 6 GW of wind energy in the Lone Star State.

Vestas supplied El Campo with 17-V110, 2-V136 and 48-V150 wind turbines. The scope of work included access roads, foundations, collection, substation, O&M building, turbine erection and tower wiring. Mortenson self-performed all civil, foundation and turbine erection.
