SAFETY MEANS MORE AT MORTENSON.

Your Safety Leader

Safety is the foundation for everything we do. From pre-construction to punch list, the well-being of our team members and partners is second to none. Our commitment to establishing programs and procedures that will eliminate accidents and injuries on our projects and in our offices has led to industry-leading performance in safety over the past 69 years.

We believe a strong safety culture speaks volumes about quality, productivity, and overall project success, which is why a project-specific safety plan is developed and implemented for every new job we begin. We are continuously looking for new, innovative technologies to make our job sites even safer so that each and every team member goes home safe.

Mortenson Zero Injuries

Through the pursuit, design, pre-project/pre-task planning, and execution of the work on our projects, our team members keep safety as one of our core values. When you add this 24/7 safety mentality to the ‘Culture of Care’ and ‘Family’ culture we have strived to develop and see on our projects, every team member returns home safely.

During Construction Safety Week each year we are proud to join construction professionals around the U.S. to recognize safety as the foundation for everything we do.  This year's theme reminds us to encourage and listen to new ideas helping to ensure that each craft team member feels empowered to own safety in their workplace building a stronger, more inclusive culture that inspires and impacts the future of the construction industry.

I'm proud of so many things, but I'm no more proud of anything than our safety record. It's truly extraordinary. It's the result of teamwork and commitment, and a pledge to the workers that safety is the forefront of everything we're doing.
