As a Carpenter Helper your primary duties include assisting Carpenter Journeyman and Foreman in the completion of rough and finish carpentry duties

Responsibilities
- Setup trailers
- Build decks, stairs, roofs and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or conex’s, silt fences and/or straw bails, setup site per erosion control plan
- Hand-set forms and/or assemble the gang forms
- Assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations
- The unloading, handling, stockpiling, and erecting of all pre-fabricated material
- Concrete and rough carpentry
- Hand set Walls
- Footings
- Set Gang Wall Forms
- Structural Concrete Decks
- Drywall
- Finish Carpentry, doors, frames, and hardware
- Millwork and cabinetry

Qualifications
- Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy
- Pictures solid objects from drawings or diagrams
- Requires some ability to read plans
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to operate equipment such as: table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
- Detail orientation
Education and Experience Requirements
- Previous experience on a construction site is preferred but not required
