Bob joined the company in 1984 and serves the organization as a senior vice president. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team since 2000, he provides leadership to many of Mortenson's business strategies and innovative services, including areas such as our Center for Energy Performance, Design Phase Advancement, applied research, business development and communications. 

Bob currently oversees Mortenson's Phoenix office and has also led a number of our operating divisions within the past 15 years; the Communication Technologies Group, Renewable Energy Group, Federal Contracting Group and our Milwaukee Office. In addition, he lends his experience in the delivery of hands-on program and project-related services to our customers. He holds both a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota. 

Outside of Mortenson, Bob has served and led various educational, civic, foundational and private boards and committees. In 2012, he was the chairman of the National Board of Directors of the Design Build Institute of America, and continues to serve this organization as a board member, strategist and thought leader.
Bob is also a member of the board of the Phoenix Community Alliance.
