Project partner Thorne led the B2L session on partition framing.  Essential to any building, is determining where the walls will be built and what components are in each wall system.  Together with Thorne, students focused on layout, wall framing techniques, the proper tools to use, and roughing in openings for both wood and hollow metal door frames.  The students were responsible for reading the specifications and measuring and assembling framework.  Throughout the session, there were many discussions on safety including using gloves and wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for working with metal studs.  The students were also taught the proper way to use ladders for fastening studs to top track.  The Thorne team members did a great job of showing the students industry best practices!
