Finance & Commerce has announced the winners of the 12th Annual Top Projects Series, including four Mortenson projects:

Allianz Field
The iconic soccer-first venue boasts the latest in amenities and technology while also being designed to minimize environmental impact and energy usage. The unique exterior, which gives Allianz Field its signature look, is made from PTFE laminate and has 1,700 LED lights that can change colors in response to different events.

The Andrus Building Renovation
Built in 1898, The Andrus is one of the oldest buildings still standing on Nicollet Ave. The historic renovation includes interior improvements and an exterior facade restoration. Historic elements have been preserved while incorporating modern amenities, such as a new tenant lounge, fireplace, and expanded lobby interior.

Rafter
The 26-story, 283-unit apartment tower features an outdoor theater, private work suites, makers room, six levels of heated parking and unobstructed views. Rafter reflects the Northeast Minneapolis culture through the murals, paintings and photography created by local artists.

One Discovery Square
Located adjacent to Mayo Clinic, One Discovery Square is the foundational building of the Destination Medical Center—the largest public-private economic initiative in Minnesota history. The four-story office, lab and research facility offers start-up, early phase, and established companies the opportunity to collaborate in the development of what's next in technologies and therapies.

Minnehaha Academy Upper School Reconstruction
The 70,000 square foot campus replacement and addition includes vibrant and flexible spaces with abundant natural light to support various learning and teaching styles. The exterior materials were chosen to complement the existing campus palate. The result is a foundation for an exceptional learning experience for the next generation of Minnehaha Academy students.

The projects were judged for their degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, and sustainability efforts. Each of the Top Projects from across the state will be featured by Finance & Commerce online and in a special printed publication in July. Click here to see all the 2019 honorees.
