Despite some obstacles this year has brought to the workplace, Mortenson has been intentional in fostering an engaged environment for all our team members – prioritizing innovation, inclusion, equity and working together, while distanced or virtual.

With these initiatives in mind, our Phoenix team has been honored, for the third consecutive year, as one of The Valley’s Best Places to Work in 2020, by the Phoenix Business Journal. There were many outstanding companies nominated and we are proud to accept this award for in the small size category.

Companies were selected based on confidential employee engagement surveys, which analyzed teamwork, retention, alignment with goals, trust with coworkers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, job satisfaction, and benefits.

In addition, the results of these surveys showed that nearly 73% of Phoenix-area employees are highly engaged, rising over 5% from last year.
