Just in Time for Turkey Day

With the holidays and cold weather rapidly approaching, the Sunshine Pantry in Beaverton needed some sprucing up – and fast! The Pantry was in dire need of a renovation due to aging and well-used facilities. Our Portland office put their last three weekends on hold to renovate several areas within the food pantry, including the bathrooms, showers, food prep / washing area and greeting room.

The Sunshine Pantry gathers, purchases and distributes food and amenities to families in need and currently supplies food, toiletries, and clothing to 500+ families each month. We were thrilled to be able to help an organization that impacts our community so profoundly, but would not have been able to do it without the following organizations and people who donated their time and resources so generously:

Thank you to Jason Haden for organizing and managing the renovations from start to finish. Without his efforts, this project would still be in the conceptual stage.

Thank you to Cochran Electric for their bathroom and kitchen rough-in and trim out, TCM for their bathroom and kitchen rough-in and trim out, Mesher Supply for donating all of the plumbing fixtures and to Hyatt for donating doors, frames, ceiling tile, furniture, chairs and handrails!

And last but not least, thank you to our team members and their significant others who chose to spend their time away from the jobsite on a jobsite, in particular Blake Haldeman whose expertise in carpentry was critical to the project’s success. Thanks to Lisa Haden, Liz Haldeman, Kali Jeter, Mickey Gonzalez, Sarah Cochenour, Marcus Myre, Curtis Shepard, Reyna Perez, Mark Schlagel, Nick Cordell, AJ Sherman, Ryan Doblar and Ryan Banning for donating their time.
