Dan Sizemore Selected as a Top Young Professional by ENR

Senior Superintendent Dan Sizemore was selected by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as one of the Top Young Professionals of 2017 in the Midwest region. This award recognizes individuals in the construction, architecture, and engineering industries who have built extraordinary portfolios early in their career and who dedicate significant amounts of time and expertise to serve their communities.

After spending three summers as an intern with Mortenson, Dan began his full-time career as a Field Engineer and started working on some of the company’s most complex healthcare projects including the Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois and the expansion and renovation of the Children’s Hospital of Illinois and OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Dan has since contributed to many of Mortenson’s most prominent Chicago projects including the historic renovation of three buildings in the Chicago Loop Retail Historic District and Union Station.

Dan is impacting Mortenson’s organization and the broader Chicago industry through his creation of a workforce training program, sharp focus on team collaboration, and implementation of leading technology. Furthering his commitment to creating an atmosphere of growth and opportunity, Dan volunteers his time with local unions and the Chicago Women in Trades organization by conducting mock interviews. These mock interviews help participants prepare for real-life interview experiences with apprenticeship programs and helps to refine their answers and build confidence.
