This project includes two phases of construction. The first phase includes the construction of an East and West Wing Laboratory/Office facility encompassing over 70,000 gross square feet. The second phase includes the construction of the 38,000 SF Headhouse/Greenhouse facility. Both phases include the demolition of outdated buildings and associated site work. The new laboratory will replace the existing facilities at ARTC that are currently inadequate for addressing the expanding research program with a mission to improve germplasm and bacterial diseases affecting crops, develop pesticide alternatives and methods to control weeds, and improve production practices including insect and disease control.
