Wells Fargo Center / MinneapolisMN
Redefining the Minneapolis skyline
A familiar sight in the downtown Minneapolis skyline, the 57-story Wells Fargo Center fills half of a city block and contains almost 1.5 million gross square feet of space. Its unique structural system is built from 15,000 tons of structural steel. A curtain wall of natural stone and glass adds appeal to its exterior, while the building's interior is adorned with European marble and granite. Thirty-one electronically-controlled elevators efficiently serve tenants, clients, and visitors. In 2000, it was one of 100 of the nation's most energy-efficient office buildings to receive the first ENERGY STAR label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
