Mr. Lennon has a diverse background in the Electric Utility industry that spans more than 31 years. His experience is focused on developing and leading diverse engineering/design/permitting/maintenance teams that have substation design, maintenance, and project management experience in voltage classes from 4kV to 500kV. Mr. Lennon has led the Certificate of Need and Route permitting efforts for the Cap X Brookings project, a 275 mile 345kV transmission line which included new 345kV substations and modifications to existing 115kV and 69kV substations. Mr. Lennon has led Transmission projects serving Investor Owned Utilities, Generation and Transmission Companies, and Cooperatives. Mr. Lennon has also led projects that have transmission line and substation design and construction for generation interconnections clients, renewable energy clients as well as gas pipeline clients. Mr. Lennon has been involved in the design, contract preparation and administration, specification development, project estimating, project scheduling and resource planning. Mr. Lennon’s experience includes substation arrangements, rigid bus design, grounding systems, station battery systems, physical design of substation and SCADA installations.
As the Lead Engineer Mr. Lennon focuses on the design and implementation of projects in the Energy market while expanding Mortenson’s engineering capabilities.
