Great Leadership
To me, great leadership looks like building functional teams while getting to know the team members and inspiring innovation while staying connected to the industry. Today, leaders need to be mindful of industry changes. Next year will not look the same as today. We need to scale for growth, hire the right people, and train in a way that grows new leaders. I am excited to be part of a booming renewables industry and support a team who constantly looks for safer and faster ways of repowering turbines. For our market to scale to meet demand, we must be vigilant in improving our processes. We’re investing in our people to ensure we are ready with the right teams to conquer the forecasted demand for renewable energy across our country.
Staying Transparent
We stay efficient by identifying and mitigating risks before our boots hit the ground. By doing so, we increase efficiency as we plan and work together. The best customer relationships are those with similar company cultures and goals. Those who collaborate regularly to solve problems before they occur are much quicker to address unforeseen items that come up, whether on or off the project site. It all starts with communication and staying transparent. Staying focused on our customers’ goals throughout the year creates the best experience for all involved.
The Golden Rule
My favorite volunteer experience is coaching my son’s hockey team and being involved with my two daughters’ sports. Being involved in team sports myself as a kid shaped the way I am as an adult, and I can’t wait to see how this time put in early on shapes each of them as individuals.
Each of us can make a difference if we simply treat others as we want to be treated. In my opinion, the golden rule is the most powerful plan for making real changes. The biggest change I’d like to see in the world is for people to treat each other with respect and listen to different perspectives with empathy and compassion.
