As a Project Engineer, Christian enjoys establishing good working relationships with trade partners to hear their perspectives on the job and chat about their interests inside and outside of work. He utilizes his communication and collaboration skills to ultimately create an environment where everyone works as one cohesive project team. His collaborative efforts with trade partners assist in fostering new solutions in the field to handle the obstacles faced with each project. Christian has notable involvement with several recent projects in Seattle, such as the Climate Pledge Arena, CitizenM Hotel - Pioneer Square Yesler, and KP Everett Specialty Center. He looks forward to the many innovations within the industry that can help with the processes of each project, for instance, A.I., electronic vehicles, and other tools. Christian is personally motivated by his mission to make a positive impact on the communities in which he builds at. Whether it be a building to help out healthcare professionals or a commercial-use facility that will serve to create more jobs for the community, the feeling of contributing to the success of a community inspires him daily. Most importantly, Christian enjoys working with a team of professionals whose drive is to build something great.
A graduate of the University of Washington Construction Management program, Christian now helps support students within that major by participating in Capstone. He works closely with the University of Washington Student Recruitment program to expose students to construction with Mortenson. Outside of work, Christian enjoys living a very active lifestyle. Whether competing in the Spartan Race Super, hiking, or taking a quick road trip to a surrounding city, he is excited to continue exploring all the PNW has to offer. An avid musician as well, he loves to play guitar, piano, ukulele, and mandolin and has even tried playing the alto saxophone.
