UW Interdisciplinary Research Building  / SeattleWA
How do you reduce your total cost of ownership for a lab building by 40%?
The Benjamin D. Hall Interdisciplinary Research Building was built primarily for laboratory/office use and can accommodate tenants of practically any size and every research need. All building systems were designed to allow tenants space flexibility for their respective research needs. Mortenson delivered the facility under a fast-track, Design-Build-Operate-Maintain approach and will fulfill all operations and maintenance needs in the facility for the next 30 years. The project achieved LEED® Gold Certification and was the 2007 recipient of the BIM Award for “Design/Delivery Process Innovation Using BIM." This project also included the build-out and TI of six labs inside the building.
