Seattle Safety Week Wrap Up

The Seattle Office and Projects wrapped up Safety Week 2017 with five days of events and training to honor the annual nation-wide awareness. More than 10 Seattle project sites took part, which included more than 30 events overall. To kick off the week Group Safety Director, Lyle Eiseman, led a lunch and learn to educate the office on this year's theme, "It's In Our Hands" which conveyed the message that in order to maintain a safe project both on and off the site, we must take safety into our hands.

Safety Week is the perfect time to recommit ourselves to Zero Injuries and to share safety messages with all of our team members, as well as our trade partners and customers. As one of our most important obligations, attaining Zero Injuries is a major part of our culture that must and will be preserved and held in the highest regard. When safety is woven throughout the industry – from every person and every task on every job – it ties us together. Not just to each other, but to everyone who loves and depends on us at home.

Some of the events included:

  • Safety Lunches
  • Culture Building and Best Practices Sharing
  • Customer or Trade Partner Led Safety Talks
  • Tool Box Talks
  • Fall Protection Training
  • Various Safety Trainings
