Denver’s Regional Transportation District, in association with the TRex I-25 corridor development, moved the light rail train system maintenance facility to a larger site to accommodate expanding rail lines. The project involved the new construction of a 125,000 square foot building for light rail vehicle maintenance and repair designed to support the fleet of 100 light rail vehicles. The project also included 22 rail spurs off of the RTD’s Light Rail Main Line, equaling more than five miles of new track.
