As Safety Director and Certified Safety Professional, Mitch has been indispensable in executing the Phoenix operating group’s safety goals on all project sites and in our office. At Mortenson, safety is not just a priority, it’s part of our company’s culture. Mitch brings over 14 years of industry experience and is fundamental in executing Mortenson’s expectation that everyone goes home safe to their family at the end of the day.

Under Mitch’s leadership, Mortenson, along with our trade partners, has not had a recordable job-related illness or injury in Arizona for a full year, achieved by more than 1,000 team members and trade partners, who worked 800,000+ hours across 14 projects in the state. In 2018, Mitch initiated Mortenson’s involvement in the Arizona Safe Building Alliance and recognized that Mortenson, among the other companies in the state, have shown immense interest in forming this alliance to help the construction community achieve a consistent injury-free work culture.

Mitch has been recognized as an ENR Top Young Professional, created a strong reputation for himself in the construction industry and has played a fundamental role in multiple projects successful delivery with zero injuries.
