Safety Excellence Recognized at Edwards Sanborn Solar + Storage
Mortenson Edwards Sanborn team wins safety award

On the heels of last year’s AGC recognition for reaching over one million injury-free hours, Mortenson’s Edwards Sanborn Solar + Storage Project team in Mojave, CA, has again been honored by the prestigious Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California in receiving their 2023 "Construction Safety Excellence" Award.

This notable achievement is a testament to the team's unwavering dedication to actively listening to the voices and recommendations of all members. Dan Seib, Mortenson’s Ed/San project director of operations noted, “The Mortenson team showed up differently by valuing an inclusive project culture that gave the craft team members the pride and ownership to carry it forward. Truly listening and acting on the collective voices of every team member was one of the most rewarding experiences of the project.”

“Together, we have fostered an environment that promotes feedback, collaboration, authenticity, and upholds the highest standards of safety,” said Mortenson’s Energy Storage Safety Director, Carina Sowinski.
