138 MW of Solar Energy Completed in Georgia
The 138 MWdc Arlington II Solar project, located in Early County, Georgia, contains over 350,000 solar panels and created more than 400, mainly local, jobs during construction. This project, in partnership with Walton EMC, will supply renewable energy to Facebook's data center in Newton County.
FUN FACT: Arlington II Solar will be one of the first projects to incorporate holistic regenerative energy — utilizing grazing sheep to control vegetation growth under the solar panels.
