Marquette Interchange
Marquette Interchange / MilwaukeeWI
How do you drive a large infrastructure project to come in under budget AND ahead of schedule?

Known as the largest public infrastructure project in Wisconsin's history, the Marquette Interchange project replaced a deteriorating 1960s-era interchange with completely new structures and roadways, to dramatically improve the safe and efficient flow of traffic.

Mortenson provided construction management and project controls management services for all four legs of the four-year project.

The $810 million interchange project came in below the originally projected budget and opened in August 2008 — several weeks ahead of schedule.
