Recognized as one of the country’s finest zoological attractions, the Milwaukee County Zoo serves as a resource to educate, entertain, and inspire. The Zoo’s US Bank Gathering Place is a 28,500 SF “visitor orientation center” that acts as a landmark and connector to the parking lot, the entry, and the Zoo itself. This “gateway to the zoo experience” sees more than 1.2 million visitors pass through each year and serves as a one-stop gathering place for planning their visit.

The new facility connects two existing administrative buildings while creating a friendly, welcoming entrance to the Milwaukee County Zoo. Upon entering the building, visitors encounter a renovated gift shop and the Flamingo Café, an upscale coffee shop, and a restaurant. The upgraded dining area features food stations offering everything from burgers to cappuccino.
