Integrity-driven leadership
At Mortenson, we build leadership on integrity, empathy, and strong communication. Our vision is to inspire and motivate our teams while fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every individual feels valued. We embody this vision by cultivating collaboration, innovation, and growth across our teams.
Our leadership, grounded in DBIA best practices, empowers our design phase teams through clear roles, integrated collaboration, and a strong focus on constructability. By aligning design with construction early, we drive efficiency, quality, and successful project outcomes.
Built on relationships
At the heart of every successful project are the people behind it. We prioritize trust, authentic relationships, and meaningful collaboration, bringing these values to every engagement. Design-build project delivery encourages us to work with one another, not against one another, transforming project outcomes and creating a truly rewarding experience. This spirit of unity and mutual respect is the foundation of our culture, enabling our teams and customers to succeed together. Through these relationships, we create lasting friendships based on integrity and empathy.
Driven by collaborative innovation
Construction is a people business; and at Mortenson, we take that to heart. We know that leadership occurs at all levels of the organization, so we push the limits of what's possible through the development and mentorship of our team. We want each team member to find their stride and not only maximize their own potential, but also understand how their skills and leadership potential helps to maximize the collective performance of the team. And we make sure we find time to celebrate while we work hard to deliver these very large, complex projects.
PERSONAL PASSIONS + INTERESTS
Since 2016, I have proudly served on the DBIA Mid-Atlantic Board, and I am honored to now serve as Vice President. In addition to my work with DBIA, I am also actively involved in the Society of American Military Engineers. I also volunteer on DBIA National’s Federal Markets and Design Professionals Committees, where I help advance best practices across the industry. Through my involvement with DBIA, I have built lasting relationships across the industry. It is incredibly fulfilling to reach out to trusted colleagues, often friends, and team up on projects where everyone is aligned around shared goals.
I am also working with a group to create the DBIA Design Integration Management Course as a subject matter expert (SME), which will be taught through DBIA National. Additionally, I am providing insight as an SME for the Owner Readiness Assessment Tool, scheduled for release this coming year, to help owners evaluate if they have the correct mindset to utilize design-build project delivery.
Currently living in Maryland, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my children compete in sports. Whether we're on the sidelines or just spending time together, I make the most of every moment.
