Building trust and adapting to lead

Strategic relationship-building and collaboration are essential to my role, as they foster trust, credibility, and long-term partnerships that drive success. In the data center industry, where projects are complex and high-stakes, strong relationships with owners, trade partners, AHJs, and industry leaders are critical for securing opportunities, overcoming challenges, and positioning Mortenson as the go-to partner. Collaboration—both internally and externally—further strengthens these relationships. Internally, aligning with our teams ensures we present a unified strategy and deliver thoughtful solutions. Externally, it enhances the customer experience, broadens opportunities, and drives sustainable growth through deeper industry engagement.

Adaptability and agility are critical in my role, especially as the data center market continues to evolve at a rapid pace due to technological advancements, shifting customer demands, and growing competition. Staying nimble allows me to quickly pivot in response to changing conditions, capitalize on emerging opportunities, and overcome challenges with confidence. This flexibility not only drives results but also reinforces Mortenson’s position as a proactive, innovative, and trusted partner in a fast-moving industry.

I’m passionate about creating a more inclusive culture within the construction industry and drawing on my experiences as a woman in construction to be an advocate and ally for others. These experiences have deeply shaped my perspective and strengthened my commitment to making the industry more welcoming, equitable, and supportive for all.
