SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Planning and Scheduling Manager II responsible for performing complex planning and scheduling assignments on highly complex or multiple projects, and for leading and coordinating team members and processes to implement planning and scheduling strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight of planning and scheduling activities on multiple projects or large, complex projects
Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
Ensure that corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project-related activities comply
Generate and recommend mitigation options to correct scheduling problems and assist site management in implementing mitigation measures
Coach, mentor, and train other team members in scheduling methods
Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, leading project pursuit strategy regarding schedule and risk identification and mitigation
Support roll-out of all company-wide training plans
Coordinate and lead corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives and best practice sharing
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum ten years of construction experience; experience as a project manager or superintendent is desirable
Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, construction practices, project sequencing, and 4D visual planning methodologies
Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills; ability to identify concerns in document reviews
Knowledge of project management, buyout, contracts, and basic claims avoidance and resolution techniques
Strong organization, delegation, and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple project teams and deliver exceptional customer service
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication, and public speaking skills
Ability to interpret and implement customer scheduling specifications, develop project schedule strategies, and work in a collaborative, team-based environment

The base pay range for this role is $120,200 MIN - $180,300 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
