Senior Quality Manager 

  

SUMMARY  

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager in our Data Center Solutions Group to lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the supplier quality system on one or more significant projects; and lead necessary corrective and preventive actions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Incorporate and lead Mortenson’s quality system on one or more significant projects 

  • This will require working in close collaboration across the organization with pursuit, design, and operations teams. Implement, manage, and maintain a robust supplier quality management program. 

  • Develop and/or enhance processes for supplier selection, qualification, and management. 

  • Draft and maintain quality agreements with critical suppliers and trade partners. 

  • Create and maintain Quality agreement database. 

  • Develop, assess, and report on supplier performance metrics. 

  • Manage/monitor supplier complaints and change notifications. 

  • Drive a performance-based culture designed to meet and exceed department and team goals while creating and fostering a healthy team environment. 

  • Support and guide employee learning and development in the area of Supply Quality. 

  • Oversee external supplier audit schedule and execution. 

  • Lead audits and/or train other team members to complete supplier audits. 

  • Ensure sufficient resources to support expanding audit needs. 

  • Sharable Audit Program Development and Oversight: Work with organization leaders and industry representatives to define a supplier quality audit program which will minimize burden on suppliers and trade partners while providing maximum value to clients. 

  • General Quality System: Work closely with other Quality leaders and teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of Quality System. 

  • Support the development and delivery of training for general Quality processes and procedures. 

  • Assist adjacent teams that play a critical role in quality management—design phase managers, design engineers, project engineers, field engineers, superintendents. 

  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), or equivalent field/scientific discipline 

  • 5+ years of experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry; with experience leading a project’s quality system 

  • Knowledge of one or more quality systems as well as auditing processes and techniques 

  • Communicate professionally and effectively across multiple internal and external audiences 
    Build, motivate, and lead diverse and growing teams 

  • Participate and contribute to industry standardization efforts 

  • Evaluate business needs and develop appropriate solutions in an unconventional environment 

  • Current driver’s license 

  • Auditor certification (CQM, CQI, ISO 9001, or ASQ) preferred 

  • Experience/knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), building envelop requirements, and/or National Electrical Code - NFPA 70 desired 

  • Experience/knowledge of renewable energy construction a plus

The base pay range for this role is $114,000 - $171,000 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.  This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
